OCR: WHAT USERS WANT IN A REPOSITORY The lack of interoperability between multivendor development tools remains a glaring problem for IS shops today. According to a 1995 SMR survey, 57% of IS managers feel the current level of tool integration is a roadblock to team-based development. And, while they acknowledge that repositories may provide a way to further tool interoperability, 34% complain- ed that repository technology is "incomplete."
